Muitra — Privacy Policy

Muitra (“the app”, “we”) is a household task-sharing app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. By using Muitra you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Data we collect

• Account information — your email address, account identifier, and the display name you choose, used to create and sign in to your account. If you choose Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive the authentication information needed to create or access your Muitra account.
• Household content — the tasks, frequencies, household name, and completion history you create. This is shared only with the members of your own household.
• Push notification token — a device identifier from your phone’s push service (Firebase Cloud Messaging), used solely to deliver task reminders and “your turn” alerts.
• Language preference — your device language (English, French, or Spanish) so the app and notifications appear in your language.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising ID, or browsing activity. We do not show ads. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Operate the app — authenticating you, syncing your household’s tasks across devices in real time, rotating tasks between members, and sending the notifications described above.
• Show in-app suggestions — the app may show clearly-labeled suggestions related to your household’s tasks (for example, tips or products that could make a recurring task easier). These suggestions are generated on our own servers; no personal data is shared with any third party to produce them.
• Produce anonymized statistics — we may use aggregated, anonymized statistics (for example, the most postponed task across all households) that can never identify you, your partner, or your household.

We do not use your data for any other purpose.

Where your data is stored

Data is stored securely with our backend provider, Supabase (servers in the European Union, Paris region). Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo. Authentication may also be handled by Google or Apple if you choose those sign-in methods. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted so that only members of your own household can read your household’s data.

Data sharing

Your household content is visible only to the members you invite into your household. We do not share your personal data with anyone except the infrastructure providers above, strictly to operate the service. These providers are expected to protect user data to the same or an equivalent standard required by this policy.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account inside the app from the You tab by choosing Delete account. This removes your account, profile, and personal identifiers from our records. If you are the last member of a household, the household data is deleted; if other members remain, shared household content may remain available to them with your personal references removed. You can also contact muitrapp@gmail.com for help with access, correction, export, or deletion requests.

Children

Muitra is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. EU/EEA under GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the email above to exercise these rights.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
